Saturday, June 18, 1988Hearing To Decide KIDS' Fate Is Put Off Until Friday In Austin A court hearing to determine if KIDS of El Paso County Inc. must stay closed has been rescheduled for Friday. The hearing in state district court in Austin had been scheduled for Tuesday. The hearing will determine if a restraining order forcing KIDS to close will remain in effect. KlDS is open pending the outcome of the hearing. The state revoked the drug rehabilitation center's license earlier this month due to problems found during a state investigation of the center for teenagers. Among the state's findings was that the center abused some of its clients. KIDS plans to appeal the license revocation to the board of commissioners of the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
