Drugs are not a ghetto problem. Not a suburban problem. Not a problem of divorced parents. Not a working parent's problem. Drugs are everywhere, and they're everybody's problem. They're in big cities and in small rural communities. They strike troubled families whose children are seeming achievers, good students, athletes, prom queens. They hit families like YOURS. But you can do something about it. Now, before drugs invade your family, or even if the problem has already begun. Please write or call for a free Parents' Checklist from KIDS on Helping Your Family Stay Free of Drugs. 2,500 El Pasoans have made financial contributions to help KIDS of El Paso help troubled teens. All of your expressions of concern and support are deeply appreciated. KIDS is a nonprofit organization that treats adolescents ages 12-21 with alcohol/drug dependency problems, eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia and obesity) and/or behavioral problems. The current treatment fee for full-time care is $695/month and community scholarships are available.
